Walney Walk

Our October walk is on Sunday 18th October 2026, and will once again be on Walney Island starting at 11:00 from Earnse Bay Carpark (West Shore Road) on Walney Island - Postcode: LA14 3XZ

There will be a main group walk of approx 3 miles, but shorter walks back through the dunes are available for those who want a shorter walk. The terrain is mostly flat on sandy / gravel paths.

There are toilets on site and a large free car park, and we will be serving tea/coffee and cakes from the van after the walk.

The RGSL van will have a selection of merchandise for sale including our 2027 calendars, Christmas raffle tickets, Time20, T-shirts, 100% waterproof outdoor coats and summer rain macs in sizes 18" to 32", martingale collars, leads, Anne Welding’s unique hand made birthday, blank and other greeting cards plus much more! Please ring if you need anything specific so we can ensure its on the van as we can’t bring everything.

Normal rules apply for the group walks - this is a walk for sighthounds only and please be aware that some hounds attending can be nervous and not used to meeting other breeds of dogs. If you have a nervous hound please ensure it’s muzzled. Dog waste to be bagged and responsibly disposed of, and please keep all hounds on the lead at all times.
